Early Transpacific Chinese Travelers and Today’s British Columbia

The Royal BC Museum will open an exhibition, Gold Rush! El Dorado in British Columbia, in May 2015. The nineteenth century Gold Rushes played a key role in shaping British Columbia and today’s Pacific World. Part of the exhibition will touch upon the personal stories of the individuals who joined the gold rushes around the Pacific. Gold rushes brought the first major Chinese settlers to Canada.
